Sure, the rest of the civilized world celebrates Labor Day on May 1. But here in the US we celebrate our Labor Day on the first Monday in September. A lot of people – though hardly anyone in the service industry – get the day off. It makes for a nice 3-day weekend that serves as a symbolic end of summer. But don’t let that symbolism fool you. In Texas, at least, it’ll continue to be hot for weeks to come.
So while the rest of the world (and a number of our own citizens) toil, your pals at Journyx will be firing up the grill at backyard cookouts, taking a cooling dip in Barton Springs Pool, cheering for the ‘Horns at the first UT Football game of the season, or just generally taking an extra day off. But don’t worry, we’ll be back in the office tomorrow, ready to take on whatever you care to bring us.
We’ll just be wearing our felt Stetsons instead of our straw ones.
